The Murmansk City
Sightseeing Tour Programme
Join us for a captivating journey through the largest city above the Arctic Circle!
Murmansk is more than just a port and more than just a northern city. It is a place with a remarkable story: the last outpost of the Russian Empire, the first port of Soviet Russia, and the home of sailors, fishermen and fearless conquerors of the Arctic.
On this drive-and-walk sightseeing tour you will:
🔹 See the city from its finest viewpoints — Murmansk laid out before you!
🔹 Feel the true spirit of the North — its cold beauty, sea winds and Arctic stories
🔹 Optionally stop by a fish shop for fresh northern delicacies and souvenir stalls for gifts with a northern soul
This is not just an excursion — it is an encounter with another world. Murmansk inspires, surprises and stays in your heart forever.
This is a comfortable journey through Murmansk in which we alternate short drives by car with walks around the key landmarks.
We drive to every location by car — the route is designed so you do not get tired and can focus on what matters most: the history, the views and the atmosphere of the city. The walking sections are easy, with no steep climbs or long treks. They are suitable for any level of fitness.
The tour is perfect both for a first acquaintance with Murmansk and for those who want to see the city from a new angle.

Good to know
Your passport, some cash, a travel mug or personal thermos (optional, for your own comfort), a power bank, personal hygiene items, a small first-aid kit, a backpack for your belongings, a foam sit-pad for resting outdoors and a rain jacket.
Bring windproof clothing: hiking trousers and a jacket. Also bring comfortable footwear, ideally waterproof — ordinary sneakers are not the best choice. Avoid shorts or jeans. You can pack a rain jacket in case of rain or strong wind. We also recommend synthetic fabrics, as they dry faster than clothes made of natural materials.

Reviews of this adventure:
The trip was amazing! We went with Misha and everything was cosy and full of insight. Lovely company and an equally lovely tour. None of that typical "look to your left, look to your right". A great, friendly atmosphere — I recommend it to everyone, photo attached)
We went to Kirovsk with the Aurora Trip team in September. We loved everything. Fascinating stories — we learned so much. And of course the mountains! They are magnificent! The weather was superb. It was amazing to catch such good weather in September; I thought it would be snowy. Next time we will go to Teriberka with the same team. But that will be in winter!
We went hunting for the northern lights with the team last year and loved the friendly atmosphere of the trip — it felt like a group of friends on a photo safari. Alexandra shared all sorts of fascinating scientific facts and legends, we chatted a lot, laughed and had a great time, and on top of it all we caught the long-awaited aurora! The whole sky was glowing) The team also knew where cloud cover is less common, so our chances were high! I am attaching a photo, but in person it is far more captivating, as the glow shimmers in a bright dance — thank you, I recommend it without a doubt.
I went with my girlfriends last year. I have only just gotten around to writing a review. Huge thanks to the whole team of guides. It was wonderful! We visited Teriberka and it was the most memorable trip of my life! We also went to catch the northern lights. Our guide was Yan. We caught a wonderful aurora, and a special thank-you for the photos)))
