This tour brings together two sides of the Arctic North: the living culture of its indigenous peoples and the rugged beauty of the Khibiny Mountains.
In the morning you will dive into the world of the Sami at the "Ogni Imandry" (Imandra Lights) ethno-park on the shore of a vast lake, and in the afternoon you will rise to the peaks of the Khibiny, visit the wild mountain lake Maly Vudyavr and touch the treasures of the earth at the Stone Museum.
Legends by a blazing hearth, reindeer, a panorama of the Khibiny from above and minerals millions of years old — a full day from tradition to the summits. Lunch included.

- A tour of Russia's largest chum, listed in the Russian Book of Records, and stories of northern legends by a blazing hearth.
- Sami games: lasso throwing, archery and Sami football.
- Meeting the animals: feeding reindeer, husky therapy and friendly rabbits.
- Sami tea by the fire. In winter — reindeer- and dog-sled rides.
- From the "Plato" viewing platform, a panorama opens over the entire Khibiny massif and the town of Kirovsk.
- Time for photos and views that simply will not fit in the frame.
- Over 500 minerals from the Khibiny and more than 3,000 from around the world.
- Crimson eudialyte (the "drops of Sami blood"), golden astrophyllite and stones that glow in the dark.

Good to know
Your passport, cash, warm windproof clothing and comfortable shoes (it is chilly in the mountains and on the cable car even in summer), a hat, sunglasses and a power bank. Lunch is included in this tour.
The tour is easy and suits people of any basic fitness level, including children and older travellers. You go up Mount Aikuaivenchorr on a comfortable cabin cable car, with no hiking. The walks at each location are short and over level ground.

The cable car's operation depends on the weather and wind in the mountains, and in rare cases the resort may cancel the ride. If that happens, we will offer an alternative spot with views of the Khibiny and adjust the programme so your day stays just as full.
Yes, the price of 13 000 ₽ includes the ethno-programme at the "Ogni Imandry" park (about 2 hours) and lunch. Only flights and train tickets to Murmansk and personal expenses are paid separately.

We went to Kirovsk with the Aurora Trip team in September. We loved everything. Fascinating stories — we learned a lot of new things. And of course the mountains! They are magnificent! The weather was superb. I was amazed we caught such good weather in September; I thought it would be snowy. Next time we will go to Teriberka with the same team. But that will be in winter!
We went hunting for the northern lights with the guys last year and loved the friendly atmosphere of the trip, as if a group of friends had gathered for a photo hunt — Alexandra shared all sorts of interesting scientific facts and legends, we chatted a lot, laughed and had a great time, and on top of it all we managed to catch the long-awaited aurora! The whole sky was glowing :) The guys also knew where clouds are less common, so our chances were high! I am attaching a photo, but in real life it is far more thrilling, with all that light shimmering in a bright dance — thank you, I definitely recommend it.
I went with my friends last year and I am only now getting round to writing a review. Huge thanks to the whole team of guides. It was wonderful!
